I am a pupil of the 11-th form, I study at school number 9. I would like to tell your about our school life.
I go to school five days a week. Our classes start at 8 o"clock a. m. and last till 3 o"clock p.m. So we have 6 or 7 lessons a day. We study many different subjects: Russian, English, French, literatures, history, geography, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, programming and computer sciences.
Languages, literature and history are my favourite subjects. I make good marks in these subjects. The school year is divided into four terms, called quarters. It begins on the 1st of September known as a Day of knowledge and finishes in May.
Each quarter is followed by holidays. Every pupil has a day-book where the teachers put down the marks, that pupil has earned at the class. During the classes pupils are to answer the teacher"s questions, do some exercises, write sentences, count, read.
The pupils are often called to the blackboard. After every lesson the teachers give us home assignment. At the next lesson the teachers check them up. To do good at school one should make home assignments regularly, be active at the lessons and spend at least two-three hours every day studying.
I like studying.
My favourite proverb is "Live and learn".

Я - ученица одиннадцатого класса, я учусь в школе № 9. Я хотела бы рассказать вам о нашей школьной жизни.
Я хожу в школу пять раз в неделю. Наши занятия начинаются в 8 часов утра и продолжаются до 3 часов дня. Значит/(поэтому) у нас шесть или семь уроков в день. Мы изучаем много разных предметов: русский, английский, французский языки, литературу, историю, географию, биологию, физику, химию, математику, программирование и информатику.
Мои любимые предметы - языки, литература и история. Я получаю хорошие оценки по этим предметам. Школьный год разделен на четыре периода, называемых четвертями. Год начинается 1 сентября, известного как День знаний, и заканчивается в мае.
После каждой четверти есть каникулы. У каждого ученика есть дневник, в который учитель ставит полученные учеником оценки. Во время урока ученики должны отвечать на вопросы учителя, выполнять упражнения, писать предложения, считать, читать.
Часто учеников вызывают к доске. После каждого урока учитель задает домашнее задание. А на следующем уроке проверяет его. Чтобы хорошо учиться в школе, нужно постоянно выполнять домашние задания и заниматься уроками хотя бы по два-три часа в день.

I am going to tell you about my school. My school is new and modern and I like it very much. It has three floors. The classrooms are light and spacious. There are classrooms for different subjects, such as English, History, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Biology Literature etc.
There is a computer class in our school. We study computer science here. The computer class has the most modern equipment and the Internet access.
We’ve also an assembly hall, which is situated on the second floor. Meetings, conferences, concerts and all the celebrations take place here. We prepare different performances for all holidays. We sing songs, recite poetry, dance, and participate in theatre performances.
There are many opportunities to go in for sports in our school. Our school has a gym, a sports ground, a football field, a swimming pool, and other sports facilities. There are many different sports groups: table tennis, swimming, athletics, football, volleyball, wrestling, and rhythmic gymnastics. Many pupils of our school attend these sports groups.
In our school we have also painting group, dance group, theatre group and rock group. All these groups are very popular and many pupils attend them.
The teachers in our school are very skilled. They try to give us all their knowledge and awake our interest to their subjects and to self study. Besides the school subjects, our teachers tell us about everything, about different problems of our world, such as ecology, nature protection, climat changes etc.
There is a good tradition in our school. Every year people who graduated our school come here to meet their teachers and classmates. These meetings take place every first Saturday of February.
I think that school years are very important for every person. It’s a period of becoming adult, achieving knowledges, and choosing your way in life. Often school friends remain your friends for all your life. So I’ll never forget my school, my teachers, and my classmates.

Я расскажу вам о своей школе. Моя школа - новая и современная, и она мне очень нравится. У нее три этажа. Классы светлые и просторные. Есть классы для различных предметов, таких как английский язык, история, физика, математика, химия, география, биология, литература и т.д.
В нашей школе есть компьютерный класс. Здесь мы изучаем информатику. В нашем компьютерном классе - самое современное оборудование, и есть доступ к Интернету.
В нашей школе есть также актовый зал, которые расположен на втором этаже. Здесь проходят собрания, конференции, концерты и все праздники. Мы готовим интересные представления ко всем праздникам. Мы поем песни, читаем стихи, танцуем и участвуем в небольших театральных постановках.
В нашей школе много возможностей для занятий спортом. В школе есть спортзал, спортивная площадка, футбольное поле, плавательный бассейн и другие спортивные сооружения. У нас много различных спортивных секций: настольный теннис, плавание, легкая атлетика, футбол, волейбол, борьба и художественная гимнастика. Многие ученики посещают эти спортивные секции.
В нашей школе также есть кружки рисования, танцев, театральный кружок и рок-группа. Все эти кружки очень популярны и многие ученики посещают их.
В нашей школе преподают очень квалифицированные учителя. Они стараются передать нам все свои знания и пробудить интерес к своим предметам и к самообразованию. Учителя не только преподают нам школьные предметы, но и рассказывают обо всем, о различных мировых проблемах, таких как экология, охрана природы, климатические изменения и т.д.
В нашей школе есть хорошая традиция. Каждый год выпускники школы приходят на встречу с учителями и одноклассниками. Эти встречи проходят каждую первую субботу февраля.
Я считаю, что школьные годы очень важны для каждого человека. Это период взросления, приобретения знаний и выбора жизненного пути. Очень часто школьные друзья остаются вашими друзьями на всю жизнь. Поэтому я никогда не забуду мою школу, учителей и одноклассников.

I am studying in the 6th form. My class is not very bit. There are only twenty people in my class. There are eight girls and twelve boys. We all very friendly and always trying to help each other. Me and my classmates live nearby, so we often meet after school to play different games and just walk.
Today is Monday and my lessons begun at 8 o’clock. The first lesson was history. The teacher told us about the ancient Rome. It was a very interesting lesson! Then we had a break, when I talked with my classmates as usual. There were a few more lessons left, my favourite one was one of them. I like geography because we have a wonderful teacher who give us a lot of useful information about the world. We learnt many exciting things in each lesson. Today I was called by the teacher to answer in front of the whole class. I worried so much! It was a good idea to prepare for the lesson at home, so I got an excellent mark. My parents are always happy when I get excellent marks. They often praise for good studing.
When my lessons were over, I still had some free time to spend it with my friend. We walked not for a long time, so that I had time to do my homework that was quite a lot for tomorrow. I have to prepare to my music school lessons as well. I am very happy that the school day was useful for me.
Я учусь в 6 классе. Мой класс не очень большой, всего лишь двадцать человек: двенадцать мальчиков и восемь девочек. Мы все очень дружные, стараемся всегда помогать друг другу. Мы все живем рядом и часто собираемся после школы, чтобы погулять и поиграть в разные игры.
Сегодня уроки начинались в 8 утра. Первый урок – история. Учитель рассказывал нам о Древнем Риме. Это был очень интересный урок! Потом у нас перемена, на которой я как обычно болтала и играла со своими одноклассниками. Потом ещё несколько уроков. Сегодня был тяжелый день, но среди уроков был мой любимый – география. Мне нравится география, потому что у нас замечательный учитель, который каждый раз рассказывает что-то интересное. На каждом уроке мы узнаем много нового. Сегодня, например, я отвечала у доски. Я так волновалась! Но все прошло хорошо, ведь я подготовилась к уроку дома. Я получила пятерку за свой ответ. Мои родители всегда радуются и хвалят меня, когда я получаю пятерки.
Когда закончились уроки, у меня осталось немного времени, и мы с подругой пошли гулять, но ненадолго, потому что на завтра задали много домашней работы. К тому же, мне ещё нужно подготовиться к занятиям в музыкальной школе. У меня остается совсем мало свободного времени, но я рада, что день не прошел зря!

On Monday I usually wake up late and have no time to eat my breakfast. I can"t find my books and my school cap. At last I find my books in the bathroom and find my cap - my dog. Pal. likes to play with it. I have to wait ages for a bus and I am nearly late for school. I enter the classroom when our class-teacher begins to call out the register. The first lesson on Monday morning is math’s. Mr. Bailey, the math’s teacher, collects our homework and then gives us some sums to do. The next lesson is French. I like French. It"s nice to be able to talk to somebody in another language.
At last it is eleven o"clock: time for break. A girl, whose name is Susan, gives me a piece of cake to eat with my milk. She allows me to copy her Latin homework, because I don"t know how to do it. After break we have two lessons of Latin. There are a lot of boys in our class who don"t like Latin. I don"t like it either. At half past twelve it is time for lunch: a meat pie, boiled potatoes or cabbage and a glass of juice or milk. Then I go into the playground with my friends. We play football there. After lunch we have a history lesson. The history teacher tells us many interesting things.
After school my friends and I usually go for a walk. I come home very late, and my mother is very angry. In the evening I do my homework. Now I cannot do my homework - there is an interesting program on television. I think I can do it tomorrow, during break.

I"d like to give a talk about my typical school day. My typical school day starts at 6.30. I get up, go to the bathroom, take a shower and get dressed. I usually have a cup of tea or coffee, eat some porridge or salad. I often take an apple or an orange with me. I eat them at school later. My school is far from my place, that"s why I usually take a bus and go to the school. It takes me 15 minutes to get to the school. My first class starts at 8 a.m. We often have 6 classes. There are 4 breaks 15 miunutes each. After the third class we have lunch at our school canteen. I often eat some salad, porridge or potatoes with meat or fish.
